Credit / Investment Manager
Denis joined Pearl Capital Partners in May 2023 as a Credit/Investment Manager responsible for the Diary and Horticulture Credit fund, his primary role is to underwrite medium-term credit to SACCOs and other Cooperatives for onward lending to small holder farmers operating in the dairy and horticulture sub-sectors.
Prior to joining Pearl Capital Partners, Denis worked for over 9 years with The Microfinance Support Centre (MSC), a development microfinance institution that provides wholesale credit and business development services to microfinance institutions (MFIs), Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Cooperative societies. At MSC, Denis served in different capacities starting from the credit officer position and later promoted to Zonal manager where he was responsible for evaluating client credit proposals for financing, and business development services to the partner organizations. By the time of leaving MSC, he was serving as the Institutional Development Officer. Between 2010 and 2013, he worked with UGAFODE Microfinance (MDI), a financial institution regulated by Bank of Uganda, starting as a credit officer and was later promoted to the position of Credit Supervisor overseeing branch credit activities.
Denis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Hons) from Makerere university, currently in his final year pursuing a Masters of Business Administration from Makerere university.
