He has deep experience spanning over 15 years in the investment, corporate finance and financial advisory sectors in East Africa.  During this time, Mike has managed transactions encompassing agribusiness, banking, FMCG, real estate and investment funds.  His expertise covers private equity (origination, negotiation, structuring, deal closure, portfolio management & exits), capital raising & refinancing, commercial due diligence, strategy & business planning and investment advisory.

Mike has worked in Uganda and Kenya covering investments across East Africa and Southern Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi).  In his work at Pearl Capital Partners, , Mike has sourced, negotiated, structured, closed and managed agribusiness investments (macadamia under irrigation for export,  large scale mechanised cereal farming, avocado farming under irrigation for export, horticulture farming exported as fresh produce, cereals/pulses multiplication and processing) giving him valuable insights into the various value drivers of successful deals and investments, including exit routes. 

Prior to joining Pearl Capital Partners, Mike worked in Nairobi at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Corporate Finance & Advisory), African Alliance Investment Bank and Kestrel Capital Investment Bank.
